Heya Andy!
Please remember . . . as a thoroughbred geek I was predisposed to like Superman, no matter what. It could have been an hour and a half of Superman riverdancing and I would have wanted it nominated for an Oscar. But since everyone I know is crazy about the movie, too, I do think there's more to it than just my personal delusions of grandeur.
And as for Miami Vice, I still can't decide whether I want to see it. You say it's nothing like the 80s series, but it's hard for me to exorcise the demons of pastel blazers and boat shoes worn without socks. :D

Damn...now I have to go see it. If Karen liked it, it's got to be good. I could have watched it the other night, but saw Miami Vice instead (which I enjoyed). It's nothing like the old retro 80s series, which was good in its day, but still worth seeing if you like a good cop movie.
